Our school was founded by Jimmy Iovine and Andre "Dr. Dre" Young. An entrepreneurial spirit and strong ability to communicate served the business partners well in endeavors like Beats By Dre. Now the pair are shifting their focus to helping students forge their own futures.
After sensing a desperate need for collaborative, empathetic professionals in the workforce, Jimmy Iovine and Andre "Dr. Dre" Young dedicated their efforts to teaching these skills in school. The pair achieved success in their first foray into education at the college level with the University of Southern California Iovine and Young Academy (IYA), and are now adapting the curriculum for high school students. With the Iovine and Young Center, their goal remains the same - graduates who are effective communicators, problem-solvers, and team members.
